In the early 20th century, post-World War I, a fascination with aviation gripped the minds of many returning soldiers, including Buck Weaver. Partnering with William Meyers, they initiated aircraft design efforts in the late 1900s. The duo later teamed up with Sam Junkin and Clayt Bruckner, commencing joint plane design and construction in 1919.
